Exhibitors at the Dubai WoodShow 2012 have reported positive feedback on the quality of visitors.

Groups enthusing about the show (April 3-5) included The American Hardwood Export Council and DLH.

Early estimates indicate a doubling of visitors compared to 2011.

“One local exhibitor said it fielded a sales team of 12 staff and commented that they had really needed more to cope with such a busy show,” organisers said.

The event, held at Dubai International Convention & Exhibition Centre, was 40% larger than last year, accounting for 9,072m² of display space.

China had the largest proportion of exhibitors (45), followed by Germany (31), Italy (26), the US (23) and Canada (12). In total, 34 countries were represented.
