Richard Field of Widegates near Looe has joined as Duchy’s new stock controller. He previously worked for Tamar Foods. He will be based at the company’s head office and sawmill in Lostwithiel and will be responsible for the accurate recording and tracking of the company’s stocks of sawn, planed and treated timber and its range of crafted garden furniture, fencing and gates.
Chris Maynard of St Austell has been appointed marketing co-ordinator. Previously with design studio Leap, Mr Maynard will be responsible for increasing awareness of the company brand.
Duchy Timber has also recruited Jeff Mason as field sales executive. Mr Mason is an experienced sales rep, having worked for Meyer Timber for more than 20 years on both softwood and sheet material sales. He is based at the Ottery St Mary branch but will be primarily on the road.
