The Germany-based Building and Environment Institute published the declarations for the products, which consist of beams with either two or three lamellas of solid wood.

The news follows on from the successful EPD for KVH structural finger-jointed timber, secured last September. More than 2 million m3 of KVH is produced annually in Germany, the majority by members of the KVH Monitoring Group.

The EPDs have been translated into English and can be downloaded from the homepage of the Institute at www.bauen-umwelt.de or from the KVH Monitoring Organisation at www.kvh.eu
