ECC is sponsoring the English Oaks and English Laurels events over three weeks at Manchester’s Belle Vue greyhound stadium, starting last Saturday and ending with the Sky Sports 3-televised final on December 19.
The races have a total prize fund of more than £30,000. ECC managing director PJ Fahy, also a leading Irish greyhound owner/breeder who has won many of the sport’s major events, said the sponsorship was designed not only to back the event, but to express thanks to the company’s UK customer base. Dozens of ECC’s UK customers are being invited to Belle Vue for races.
“We are excited to be one of the first home-grown timber producers to take on a marquee event such as this,” added Martin Oxley, the company’s UK head of sales.
“It is an excellent opportunity to raise the profile of our business, highlight the value of the timber industry and also enjoy a night out with our valued customers.”
