NBT, which distributes the Swiss-made Pavatex brand of woodfibre insulation boards, showcased the Pavadry system as an alternative to its existing Pavadentro product for internal walls.

Where Pavadentro requires more installation skills and plaster drying times, the Pavadry product features a high density fibreboard panel bonded to the insulation, giving builders a denser surface to screw plasterboard or gypsum fibreboard (Fermacell) sheets straight onto the panels.

The panels come in 600x1020mm sizes and 52mm, 72mm, 92mm and 112mm thicknesses, with a 0.042W/(mK) thermal conductivity.

NBT said the product was currently expensive but as volumes increase the price is likely to come down.
