UBM described Ecobuild 2015 (March 3-5) as the most vibrant to date, borne out by significantly higher rebooking levels than last year.
Timber exhibitors were fewer than previous years, but those with stands included the likes of LP Building Products, Steico, Russian LVL producer Modern Lumber Technologies (MLT), American Softwoods, Wolf Systems, Piveteaubois and TRADA.
“It has gone really well,” said TRADA membership and marketing manager Rupert Scott. “Ecobuild is a real cross-section of self-builders, students, architects and contractors.”
It once again ran its Student Design Competition, with Alice Howland’s winning design on stand featuring 10 species of timber.
On Steico’s stand, Lime Green demonstrated its lime render insulation system featuring Steico woodfibre insulation boards. The system recently won a BBA certificate.
MLT told TTJ it was starting to handle its owns sales of Ultralam LVL in the UK, while disclosing that it was looking to develop production of birch LVL.
