Ireland’s Health and Safety are investigating the accident at the Cork-based Eirebloc plant, which makes composite pallet blocks for the timber pallet sector.
Rob van Hoesel, president of FEFPEB (the European Federation of Wooden Pallet and Packaging Manufacturers), told the 250 congress delegates about the accident and said everyone’s thoughts were with the family of deceased. A Congress tour visit to Eirebloc was cancelled.
