An environmental activists stonia has been accused of operating an unsustainable logging policy and cutting more timber than EU countries.
The Estonia Nature Fund said in recent years that the country cut an average of 5.7m3 per hectare of forest, compared with 2.5m3 in Sweden and Finland and 2.8m3 in Latvia.
The Estonian State Forest Management Centre has proposed a reduction in timber volumes.
