Trussed Rafter Association member Fforest Timber Engineering has helped in the successful completion of a residential development in Swansea.
The company, which has been a manufacturer of Wolf Systems’ easi-joists for the past three years, supplied a package of the metal web joists for the two and three-storey dwellings in the Regalian Clyne development.
Fforest worked closely with structural engineer Arup to accommodate loadings, service penetrations and features such as stairwells.
The majority of the 342 joists – 595 linear metres in total – were manufactured with the top flange extended to sit directly on top of the main steel beams.
