Finnforest UK’s Timber Academy has seen its 500th student graduate after three years of providing timber training to customers and staff.

The purpose-built academy, based at the company’s Boston headquarters, provides in-depth training to enable its customers’ staff to gain knowledge of timber products, their uses, storage and display.

Fred Warner, Finnforest’s human resources director, said: “With a pass rate of 75% the Timber Academy is not one of those turn up and get a certificate courses. It provides students with very real practical training that in turn enables them to provide a higher level of customer care to their customers.”
