All of Finland’s 13 Forestry Centre regions – covering 22 million ha – now possess a certificate for sustainable forest management practices.

This means the targets set for 2000 by Finland’s national Finnish Forest Certification System (FFCS) have been met.

The FFCS is recognised by the Pan European Forest Certification Council and the first products to carry the PEFC logo have been shipped from Finland to Central Europe. So far, 10 holders of regional forest certificates in Finland can use the PEFC logo.
