More than 60% of exhibitors at this year’s Interbuild have already confirmed their presence at next year’s show, organisers said.
Off-site construction specialist Mtech and timber frame manufacturer Potton Ltd are two of the firms set to return to Interbuild 2008, which will take place October 26-30, 2008.
“There were plenty of highlights at this year’s Interbuild and we are all thrilled with the results,” said newly-appointed event director James Gower.
“With over 60% of exhibitors already confirmed for next year’s show I look forward to making history with an even bigger and better Interbuild 2008.”
Mr Gower added that feedback from visitors and exhibitors alike had been “extremely positive” with displays and on-stand activity creating “an immense buzz across all of the halls”.
Importer Hardwood & Joinery Softwoods and racking and storage manufacturer Wickens Engineering Ltd made their debuts at Interbuild 2007, with both saying that the show had been good for business and generated “good quality leads”.
Outside of the Timber Zone, flooring students from South Birmingham College emerged victorious in the Test the Trades competition, which pitted trainees from the flooring, plumbing, building and roofing trades against one another.
The winning team of students took home £4,000-worth of tools donated by Test the Trades sponser Dewalt.
