Major timber flooring agent Lionvest Trading (UK) Ltd aims to speed up deliveries to customers after moving its warehousing in Southampton to a site directly on the motorway network.

The solid and engineered wood flooring specialist has moved from Southampton Freetradezone to Meachers Warehousing just outside the dock area.

The new site, close to the M27 and M3, will hold Lionvest’s 1,000-plus pallets of flooring stock from more than 15 factories worldwide, including the Ekowood strip prefinished flooring.

Meachers is one of three nationally recognised warehouses which can bypass customs clearance, speeding up the clearing process for newly arrived stock.

Lionvest said Meachers’ fleet of lorries would be extremely beneficial for its delivery choices, although it is not committed to using them if other haulage is more economical on a load-by-load basis.
