Forest Research states that there has been an increasing level of community woodland involvement over the last 10 years.

The study will investigate the various areas of activity through analysis of market data, interviews and 16 detailed surveys.

It will take two years to complete and and reveal the benefits of forest and woodlands in the five main areas of: usefulness to communities and individuals; recreation, leisure and culture; people’s health and well-being; contribution to livelihoods; and aiding education and learning.
