With fencing now accounting for under a third of turnover, Forest Fencing plc is changing its name to Forest Garden plc.

Today, the company produces more than 500 different product lines and said the new name is ‘considered more appropriate’.

The rebranding coincides with major expansion at the business. It will soon open its new sawmill in Lockerbie, which will have capacity to process 160,000 tonnes of timber annually, with the 25-acre site also set to house a manufacturing and distribution operation.

Forest Garden has also applied for planning permission for a 13-acre plot it owns in Eardisley, Hertfordshire and its subsidiary Larch-Lap is expanding its Hartlebury facility.
