Thirty-six people with an interest in forestry, the environment, agriculture, planning or trade unions have signed up as Forestry Commission advisers for the next three years.
They will serve on three regional advisory committees in Scotland and much of their work will involve giving advice on local implementation of the Scottish Forestry Strategy and helping resolve disputes involving forestry proposals and woodland grant applications.
