Midlands-based softwood and panel importer Four Oaks Timber & Joinery Supplies Ltd has invested “several hundred thousand pounds” in new premises.
The company will begin operating from its new two-acre site at Birmingham Road, Lichfield on Monday, March 22.
Four Oaks’ Bromsgrove and Sutton Coldfield depots will merge onto the new site. The company’s Derby outlet will remain unchanged.
Managing director Michael Bailey said: “We have been looking for new premises for many years now and were fortunate to acquire this site. Planning consents and the ensuing building works have preoccupied us over 18 months now, but the results are spectacular and have brought us fimly into the premier division.”
New planing/moulding machinery has been added to an already extensive sawmill and the core stock range has been expanded to include a number of new lines. Volumes of existing products which previously had to be held at quay locations around the country can now be stored at the new site.

The existing sale team has been reinforced with a number of senior personnel and Mr Bailey said: “I believe the collective expertise of our staff is now unrivalled in the area.”
The new premises are close to the recently opened M6 toll road making them well placed to service customers and receive bulk product from ports around the UK.
