Gapro, Södra’s interior products business, has acquired two companies in Denmark with combined annual sales of SKr460m.
The purchase of the two mouldings producers, BE Profiler and Vima, will take Gapro’s total sales to SKr1.2bn next year.
BE Profiler specialises in the Danish builders merchant market, while Vima sells primarily to the timber industry.
Gapro said the acquisition of Vima gave it full coverage of the Scandinavian timber industry market.
“Our hope is that customers in Denmark will see the advantages of the broad product range Gapro offers, which currently includes mouldings, panelling, flooring and glued joints,” said Gapro president Håkan Svensson.
Gapro now has 17 production and distribution facilities in Scandinavia.
