Modified wood product Accoya is to be used in a new range of eco-friendly windows from online building materials firm Green Building Store (GBS).

GBS is to launch Ecocontract, a new range of Forest Stewardship Council (FSC)-certified windows, which it says are ideal for developers and housing associations looking to meet Code for Sustainable Homes and BRE Environmental Assessment Method standards.

Ecocontract will be available in FSC-certified redwood and oak, as well as Accoya, and will offer “ultra-low U values as standard”, double- or triple-glazing and a range of treatments and finishes.

Accoya windows will also become available in GBS’ Ecoplus range of windows.

The Ecocontract range, as well as the Accoya-based Ecoplus windows, will be launched at Ecobuild 2008, which takes place at Earls Court on February 26-28.
