Global wood-based panels conference to debate panels markets on May 11

TTJ-sister title Wood Based Panels International (WBPI) kicks off its virtual half-day conference on May 11, focusing on the performance of the global panels industry during the Covid-19 pandemic and looking beyond.

‘Beyond Covid-19: The global wood-based panels industry adapting for the future’ will start at 11.45am (BST) and will have a special focus on the furniture sector, share how various panels markets are performing, as well as how manufacturers are adjusting to the situation.

It will also look at investment levels in woodworking technologies and there will be an opportunity to ask questions to Christian Pfeifer, director of leading global woodworking industries exhibition Ligna.

Presenters and panellists are draw from Europe, North America and South America, including Clive Pinnington, managing director of the European Panel Federation (EPF), architect Giulio Masotti, CEO of Wood Skin, Paolo Fantoni, president of Fantoni Spa and Ulrich Bühler, head of sales and marketing, Egger Group.
