Bone-shaped glazing beads have been machined by Haldane UK for new doors at an Irish vet’s practice.

Measuring 1200x300mm and made in American white oak, Glenrothes-based Haldane made the beads on its five-axis CNC machining centre.

The company claims to be able to make any shaped glazing bead from any timber. In the past, it has manufactured beads in the shape of clouds, flags and company logos.

“Whilst the general market perception of glazing beads has traditionally been solely for the use of vision panels, we have been helping architects, door companies and private clients to create eye-caching features out of their doors,” said managing director Forrester Adam.
