UK timber handrail specialist Bolton-based Handrail Creations has been awarded a contract for 12 super-prime houses near London’s Regents Park.
The prestigious 52 Avenue Road contract in St John’s Wood is for the design, manufacture, installation and decoration of continuous wood handrails and steel spindles.
“It is such a prestigious, ultra-prime development where we can work alongside fellow leaders in the property development, design and construction sector,” said Kenny Macfarlane, managing director of Handrail Creations.
Mr Macfarlane said projects as prestigious as Avenue Road allowed the Handrail Creations team to showcase the very best of British craftsmanship, “combining hand-finishing techniques with advanced CNC manufacturing to deliver bespoke features”.
The project is being developed by Domvs London in a joint venture with Select Group. EE Smith Contracts are responsible for delivering the fit-out,
The spindles will be custom made from steel with a ‘hooped’ design and a bronze finish, with a French polished timber handle finish. Tasked with creating a sweeping balustrade to connect all floors, Handrail Creations will make over 1,200 bespoke parts on their CNC machines, leaning on their award-winning design team.
