Iggesund Timber blames the weak sawn timber market for an operating loss of SKr8m between January and June.
However, the Swedish company also pointed out that the figure is much lower than the SKr36m loss reported at this time last year. It said that the reduction in the deficit was due to its campaign over the period to cut costs.
Iggesund, part of the Holmen Group, had sales of SKr305m for the half-year, while production reached 111,000m3.
