Indian forest officials have seized about 12,000ft3 of timber worth Rs350,000 during a raid at Falimarir near the West Bengal-Assam border.
The wood, including teak, chap, sidha, jarul and boira, is suspected to have been illegally felled in nearby forests. Police and forest officials were acting on a tip-off.
