Workshops to examine the importance of innovation in expanding the markets for home-grown timber will be held in Dublin and Edinburgh next month (on April 29 and 30 respectively).

The ‘Conceptualisation to Commercialisation’ workshops, organised by the Scottish Forest Industries Cluster and the Irish Council for Forest Research and Development (COFORD), are aimed at the processing sector, the timber trade and research/testing service providers.

Topics will include the funding and support available to foster innovation, the accreditation process and, through a series of case studies, details of how new products and processes have been successfully commercialised in the past.
