A floating floor from sound insulation supplier InstaCoustic meets the requirements of new Building Regulations.
The floating floor is made up of three layers – a base of decoupling fibre, an inner of sound barrier pads and a top layer of overlay board.
The manufacturers say the product is particularly successful for dealing with acoustic issues when refurbishing properties as there is no need to lift original floorboards, no void fill is required and tenants do not have to move out.
