The Irish sawmilling market is once again targeting the Interbuild show in Birmingham as it seeks to consolidate its presence in the UK market.
Murray Timber Products, Glennon Brothers and Graingers are exhibiting together on a joint stand sponsored by Coillte and supported by Enterprise Ireland at the Built Environment Solutions & Technlogies exhibition at Interbuild in Birmingham NEC on October 18-20.
Their representation comes against a background of increasing sawn timber exports to the UK over the past year.
A Coillte spokesperson told TTJ that the sawmillers attendance at last year’s Interbuild had been in the early stages of market development.
“It was deemed a success by the participants last year in terms of business leads and developing the UK market,” he said.
This year’s stand in Hall 5 will be bigger and more elaborate than last year and is again situated near the main entrance.
