JELD-WEN UK claims to be the first manufactuer in the UK to extend paint and stain guarantees on timber external doors, windows and doorframes.
All fully-finished products from JELD-WEN now carry a 10-year guarantee on external paint, and a six-year guarantee on external woodstain supplied by Arch Coatings.
JELD-WEN’s paint guarantees on timber windows and doors will carry the equivalent guarantee to uPVC frames, as well as an additional 30-year guarantee against fungal attack on all external timber components.
Tony Pell, product manager for JELD-WEN, said: “Working with Arch in this way ensures that fully-finished John Carr doors and Boulton & Paul timber windows are distinguishable from the rest, as most usual paint guarantees are for eight years and, typically, five years for woodstain.”
