The RPP obliges companies to ensure their timber originates from well-managed sources and is supported with documentation to prove the source.

At the latest count, 30% of all material purchased by TTF members was covered by the policy.

“The RPP provides us with exactly the tool we need to demonstrate John Boddy’s environmental credentials,” said managing director Frank Boddy. “We expect that it will definitely deliver improvements in the way we work and ultimately improve the bottom line.”

TTF chief executive John White welcomed John Boddy’s decision to use the RPP. “Hard evidence of the industry’s commitment to environmental good practice will allo us to compete much better against other building materials,” he said.
