John Brash, manufacturer of graded timber roofing battens, shingles and shakes, scaffold boards and commercial anti-slip decking, has appointed Chris Watson as managing director.
Mr Watson joined John Brash as finance director just over 10 years ago. The company says his appointment as managing director is a testament to his ongoing commitment and dedication to John Brash and the timber industry as a whole.
In his new role Mr Watson will take responsibility for the overall management of the company and work alongside chairman Christian Brash to develop the longer-term strategy.
“Chris has enjoyed the family shareholders’ support and has always made a significant contribution to the business. He will also bring to the table his previous experience as managing director of a large plc from earlier in his career,” said Mr Brash.
The appointment comes as part of a new strategic direction for John Brash which involves strengthening the management team and establishing a clear industry voice.
