A mechanical engineer by training, Mr Slatem worked in the forestry machinery and related markets for more than 30 years, driving innovation in the design, manufacture and servicing of kindling and firewood production machinery. He was also instrumental in importing into the UK equipment and machinery for forestry and woodland management from some of Europe’s leading manufacturers.
