Brize Norton-based builders merchant AK Timms & Sons Ltd has brought in a new Koolkut vertical panel saw to improve its cut-to-size service.
Timms had been relying on ageing table and laminate saws before choosing the Koolkut KK216 from Sagetech Industries.
The machine, which features a 5.5hp motor, cuts plywood, MDF, worktops, chipboard and blockboard.
“Technology has moved on significantly since we bought the older machines, and we wanted to replace them with a safer, more accurate tool,” said Timms timber manager Terry Merriman.
Koolkuts cater for sheets ranging in size from 2500x1250mm to 4200x2100mm.
