The James Latham Group has struck a deal with Italian processor Piarottolegno to help it broaden the UK market for laminated hardwood panels.
Branded Texwood, the panels from Piarottolegno are designed for use in high quality furniture making, kitchen surfaces, doors and bathroom fittings. The products are now available across Latham’s nationwide distribution base.
Chris Sutton, Latham’s panel products director, said the deal is the latest in a number of key stragetic import and distribution agreements designed to give the UK market the widest possible choice of products.
He said: ‘Solid wood is a fashionable material and is now far more accessible and better value than it used to be and with the UK market becoming increasingly discerning and more sophisticated, I am confident that there is enormous opportunity for this product.’
