James Latham plc supplied cedar for a 21ft replica Viking longboat which has already appeared on a number of national television programmes.
The “Lille Draken” was designed and built by bespoke furniture maker David Jones and launched by film actress Sophia Myles who starred in Thunderbirds and Colditz.
John May, director of Lathams’ timber division, said: “It was a pleasure for Lathams to be involved in such a unique project. It was a lifetime ambition of David Jones to make this, and we are obviously glad we helped him set his dream afloat.”
The boat has appeared on the Richard and Judy show.
