The official statistics show the UK, Latvia’s main forest industry export market, accounted for €173m worth of trade (a 12.3% share of the country’s forest industry exports).
The next largest customer was Sweden with exports valued at €171m, followed by Germany at €169m.
Latvia’s forest sector imports grew 20.3% on a year ago to €434.9m.
