Latvia’s export of wood products saw a 23.6% growth in the first nine months of 2003 compared with the same period last year.

Round timber exports stood at 3.07 million m3, 2.9% down on last year but the export value was up 4.4%.

Sawn timber exports were up 13.7% to 2.5 million m3, with export value rising 25.1%.

Exports of furniture were also up, seeing a 14.6% rise.
