Door manufacturer Leaderflush Shapland has adopted the Carbon Trust’s draft methodology for carbon reduction labelling.
The Nottingham-based company is now including information about its carbon footprint on all quotations and invoices so ther like-minded organisations can make informed decisions when choosing products.
Leaderflush said it had carried out extensive research on the carbon impacts of its products and facilities – both direct carbon produced through manufacturing but also through indirect carbon generated throughout the supply chain, including raw materials extraction and transportation.
It is also encouraging its suppliers to look at the environmental impact of their activities and implement a carbon reduction programme.
