Studying and working alongside Lonza’s existing service engineers, Mr Abel will complete the apprenticeship over a two-year period as part of his mechanical engineering B2 course at the local further education college.

“Our on-site engineering services are a vital part of our customer support package in helping to make sure their treatment operations are running at their optimum performance,” said Dave Cook, Lonza’s engineering support manager.

“Gary is already contributing to the strength of our experienced team of service engineers and developing his knowledge of the varied tasks involved in providing a responsive and professional support service.”
