Australian architect Richard Leplastrier has won the international Spirit of Nature Wood Architecture Award 2004.
In Australia Mr Leplastrier is well-known for his thoughtful use of timber in domestic architecture. He will be presented with the award in the Sibelius Hall, Lahti, Finland on June 16.
The award ceremony is organised as part of the World Conference on Timber Engineering. The €50,000 award, which is presented every two years, is made possible by the support of the Finnish Forest Foundation.
