Global economic forecasting group Experian has launched a service to help housebuilders identify the best locations for new developments.
Housing Insight, which combines market analysis, property consultancy, software and forecasting, also aims to help builders achieve faster planning approval by better aligning applications to local authority development plans and the needs of local communities.
Alan Armitage, of Experian’s business strategies division, said: “As the property market cools, builders’ profitability will necessitate optimum choice of development locations, a clear appreciation of who prospective purchasers will be and the means to reach those targets.”
