Longden solid timber doorsets were chosen for a detailed restoration project on the Grade II listed Roundhouse in Derby.
The building, once used by the North Midland Railway for servicing locomotives, includes a framed ledged and braced boarded doorset with over panel, as well as vertical boarded doorsets in iroko.
The doorsets have been treated with exterior finishes from Morrells’ Omina range, incorporating one coat of Omina Preserve and two coats of Omina Clear.
Following project ompletion, the iconic building has become the centrepiece of the new Derby College campus, providing 18,000m² of learning and teaching space.
