Lonza has completed the acquisition of Arch Chemicals, which includes the business of Arch Timber Protection.
Lonza said the acquisition created the world’s leading microbial control business and that customers would benefit from innovative microbial control formulations.
Arch is being integrated into Lonza as a new business sector called Microbial Control.
“We have the willingness and the resources to invest in R&D and applications development for the benefit of all our customers,” said Lonza CEO Stefan Borgas.
Arch Timber Protection’s brands include Tanalised, Tanalith, Vacsol Aqua, Ensele, Dricon, Non-Com and Keywood modified timber.
Lonza’s Life Science ingredients business incorporates a material protection division, which includes chemical solutions to preserve and improve dimensional lumber and engineered wood products.
