A hunter has been charged with starting the largest fire in California’s history.
Sergio Martinez is accused of starting the cedar fire, which damaged 273,000 acres, destroyed more than 2,000 homes and killed 15 people last autumn. The overall cost of damage was estimated at more than US$400m.
Martinez lit the fire after becoming lost on a deer-hunting trip.
