The strength of Masonite Fillcrete EVT beams used in the roof structure of a house near Loch Lomond in Scotland meant that builders have been able to do away with the need for attic trusses. The omission gave builders the freedom to sculpt a cathedral-type roof into the upper level of the 20-room house designed by ARM Architects.

Extra deep 370mm walls of the house, filled with Warmcel 500 insulation, deliver a U value of only 0.21Wm²K. Panelboard external sheathing is used for the wall construction, with plasterboard used for the internal wall finish.
