Metso Panelboard has secured a €35m order to supply an OSB production line to Sovetskiy DOK’s mill in the Khanty-Mansiysk region of Russia.
The delivery, due to take place in spring 2004, will feature all the processing equipment for OSB production from the wood yard to the stacking of sawn panels. This will include an energy plant; wood handling including log de-icing, debarking and thawing; strand preparation; a drying and gluing system and a complete press line including forming stations, press, sawing and stacking. Metso Panelboard will also supply the process automation for the whole line.
When fully operational, daily production capacity will be 450m3. The line is designed to be extendable up to 800m3 a day.
