The Postsaver Pro-Mill conveyor feed equipment applies the full range of sizes shapes and styles of the composite sleeves at a cost equal to a creosoted post, the company said.
By integrating the equipment into the production process rather than retro-fitting, costs are kept low enough to sell the sleeves posts for as little as £1.85 each, said Llandre managing director Garry Price.
"It is also a clean-to-handle product, a big factor with most contractors. We are already seeing a good uptake with orders for more than 25,000 posts in the first month alone."
Postsaver now has 200 post producers, stockists and contractors. "We are also seeing strong growth in overseas markets as well," said Postsaver director Richard George.
