Forestry minister Elliot Morley will be the keynote speaker at an international forestry and art conference to be held in Salisbury this summer.

The In Praise of Trees conference, held on June 6-7 during Salisbury Festival 2002, is a major celebration of trees, woodlands and wildlife.

It is designed to provide a professional meeting ground for environmentalists, foresters, local authorities, timber related businesses, architects, designers and artists to examine existing practices and new visions for a sustainable future for British woodlands.
