Irish minister of state for agriculture Mary Wallace has toured two of Ireland’s leading panel board manufacturing plants.
Ms Wallace was shown around Medite Europe Ltd‘s Clonmel site and SmartPly Europe Ltd’s Waterford facility, both of which are owned by the Irish forestry board Coillte.
“As minister with responsibility for forestry, I welcome this opportunity to see at first-hand these highly important downstream processing sectors of the forest industry,” she said.
