A timber construction specialist says the rising trend of working from home to avoid rush-hour commuting is creating new demand for its garden-based home office buildings.
M&M Structures Ltd, based near Kidderminster, reports a “significant” increase in enquiries and orders for its Unilog timber building range since its recent targeting of the home office and studio market.
Its buildings are equipped with electrics and telephone points, and even kitchen and toilet facilities in some cases. They feature a double skin external walling system incorporating thermal insulation.
The modular-designed buildings, which can be delivered complete or assembled in hours, cost from around £6,000 upwards.
