The third biennial Myanmar Furniture Show is to promote the country’s value-added wood products to a global market.

Taking place at the Military Historical Museum and Archives in Rangoon on March 3-7, the show will see 166 stands exhibiting furniture, rattan and bamboo wares and other timber products. It is jointly organised by Myanmar Timber Enterprise and the Timber Entrepreneurs Association.

Visitors from south-east Asian nations are expected to make up the majority of those attending the show, with many of Myanmar’s exports already heading to Thailand, Japan and Malaysia.
